(If a website designed and developed by Lizard Revolution is still active, the picture below will link to it.)
This website was created as a public service to advocate for rain barrels and help people build their own. It's a great place to find out why you might want to build versus buy, and how. Besides pros and cons, useful advice, and an online calculator to figure how much rainfall it would take to fill your barrels, it describes one sensible design in detail, with an illustrated shopping list and instructions.
By following these instructions, refined through toil and struggle, you can avoid our mistakes and build a good rain barrel quickly and cheaply on the first try, without the three visits to the DIY store that are required for most projects. The page has a high search engine ranking and averages 120 readers per day during those parts of the year when people are thinking about this sort of thing. We really should sell advertising space on it or something.
"Rebecca is a joy to work with, and makes a mean omelet." —Andre "Dangerous with Tools" Guirard, Rain Barrel Design and Construction Engineer, Amiable Husband

The Princeton Early Childhood Coalition uses this online services and programs directory to let parents and educators search for resources in their area. Their staff can update the information online using a web browser. No HTML is required; that's how easy-to-use our custom-designed interface is.
"You make the process easy and the product easy to use, even for nontechnical people. Your strong suits (beside the obvious technical strengths) are communication skills, response time, understanding of client needs, and ability to anticipate needs and make appropriate suggestions/find workable solutions. I also think your pricing is very fair, especially for nonprofits...In short, I rate you two right at the top of the technical consultants I've worked with, and I've had some experience in this area in the business world." —Sue Hix, Coordinator, Princeton Area Early Childhood Coalition

"Developing our organization's website with Lizard Revolution's knowledge, experience and insight has been a FANTASTIC experience. They were very helpful, patient, and fun to work with especially since we had no prior knowledge on the process of developing a website. I highly recommend their services to anyone wishing to develop a website." —Deb Alt, Coordinator, Redwood Area Early Childhood Initiative

This Programs and Resources Guide for the Minnesota Aids Project serves multiple functions. In-house hotline staff use it via an intranet to provide referrals to callers, and the online version is searchable by end users. Management functions include automatic periodic emails to program contacts to review and update their information, export capability to create mailing labels and a printer-ready version of the directory for publication purposes.
"We continue to be very appreciative and impressed with the work that you did. Every day, we take advantage of the tools you created for our Resource Guide to streamline our day-to-day work." —Rick Sutherland, Community Educator, Minnesota AIDS Project |
This website for a local science fiction/mystery bookstore allows the owner to update upcoming events, post book reviews, list incoming titles, and update notices of book readings/signings, sales, and other items of interest. Customers can sign up for the e-newsletter and long distance readers can browse to put together their mail order lists. This project was completed as a team effort with two non-Lizard Revolution Software IT professionals.

This site is for a French decorative paint artist expert in a wide range of styles, from faux finishes for restoration work to portraits and whimsical art for children. Several of her special finishes are used as design elements. One of the main design objectives was to maintain the quality of the images while not sacrificing speed in page loading. Her print portfolio contained some less-than-perfect photographs of work no longer accessible so a fair amount of image correction was also involved.

This group needed several pages of information for its members; mostly static content. The most technical requirement was for a monthly, updatable calendar--which we implemented in JavaScript.
